between the years

simple but good life in district 7

I have become tired of writing, of continuing this blog, of sharing thoughts on matters that had been important to me, important to be heard by friends. Time has become rare, life was full of stress, trouble, and things to get done. Still, it’s by far not yet enough. But thanks to hard work and tirelessly following my mission, thanks to our all commitment, to a little hero born and to friends who are there, somehow, if even far, life has become much better these days. The past time was a big lesson. I have tested myself going to the extreme. And I have learnt that continuous striving for improvement pays off. I am not even sure whether a bit more of consistency could have brought a any better result.

“I am sorry, I have currently no access to your data” …people always imagine we have a call-centre

However, in terms of career, the assignment I have taken over here - and stupidly not quitted for the next better opportunity – has quickly turned out to be my biggest mistake in life so far. So with regards to that job, consistency will now be required in order to make a change. As every single day is a day of missed opportunities and waste of time, and thus money. This match can’t be won anymore, but the next one is due.

It is Christmas time, again, also in Vietnam. I haven’t any gifts, except a few impressions of another life that I and we have lived here in the past months and meanwhile years. Some pictures of the last weeks, as a contrast to the turn of the year back home, in Australia, or wherever it has dispersed us. Wishing all my friends a merry Christmas 2008 and a happy, healthy and successful new year 2009!
