…one of these things was a bicycle tour with friends on a Sunday afternoon. Harald picked me up at the dorm. We packed the bikes into his car and went to Neuwied. There, we met David and Richard. We took our bicycles along the banks of the Rhine to Koblenz.

It was a sunny day with much of fresh air and a slight breeze from the river. Having to accomplish no task on this Sunday but simply relaxing, cycling, talking and spending time with the guys made it a pleasant day. When we arrived at the beautiful city of Koblenz, we had a break in the old quarter and enjoyed Italian ice cream.

Not used to practise much sport at the moment and being eager not to cycle too slowly, the four of us got a bit tired on the last kilometres to Neuwied. Arriving in the evening we bought something to eat in order to restore energy. Richard and me, we rewarded ourselves with a Döner from the Turkish snack bar. It was a simple day, but it was the best day for months!
